His presentation ‘Perspectives on Family Business from the 10th Generation‘ discussed many interesting and relevant topics, such as the challenges for multi-generation family businesses, Next Generation engagement, succession planning and the need for communication and constructive disruption in family businesses.

The presentation was followed by a panel discussion, featuring Charlie Field, Marie Crowley, Queally Group, Orla Hughes, Portwest and Michael Walsh, President of FBN Ireland. The panel was moderated by Owen McFeely, PwC, and continued the along the same themes as the presentation, with the panellists providing valuable insights on these topics from their own family’s experiences.

The event was followed by a supper, generously provided by PwC.

Personally, I thought it was a lovely evening and there seemed to be a nice warm feeling to the room, where people were comfortable to mingle and engage.  Thank you to Catherine for all her support in making it such a success.  It was a great collaborative effort.  Charlie was a great choice of speaker, and the panellists were really very strong and generous with their insights.  All in all a good event and a great shared experience.
